Your natural lashes have a lifespan of 60 - 90 days. The eyelash extension is placed on the natural lash so when your natural lash falls out, so does the extension. A new natural lash grows in that spot and when you notice too many gaps or that your desired fullness is declining, simply schedule a touch up appointment to have eyelash extensions put on your new natural lashes.

Eyelash extensions are applied using a black, odorless adhesive that has met the requirements set out for eyelash adhesives. The adhesive never touches your skin. It only touches the natural eyelash and the eyelash extension.

There are many different looks that can be achieved by using eyelash extensions. This will be discussed prior to your appointment so please have a general idea of what you want to achieve using eyelash extensions.

Is there a product I can use if my eyelashes are too thin/short/pale/sparse/ugly?

What are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash extensions are made of a synthetic material and are attached individually using an approved adhesive. Once applied, these lashes are so natural looking it is difficult to tell, even up close, if you have extensions on. The results are a natural, beautiful look. They are perfect for special occasions or for everyday wear.

Are Eyelash Extensions safe?
Yes, many clients have been wearing extensions for a number of years without causing any harm to their natural lashes. Some have even seen an improvement in the fullness and length of their natural lashes. It is a pain-free and relaxing process.

How long will the Extensions last?
Your natural lash cycle is between 60 and 90 days. If the extensions are applied correctly, they will last for the whole cycle. This may differ person to person based on their daily activities and extension care. Touch ups are required every 2-4 weeks due to each natural lash being on it's own natural growth cycle.

How long is the procedure?
The application can take anywhere from an hour and a half to two and a half hours. It depends on factors such as your natural eyelash thickness and the look you are going for. When you arrive you simply lie down on a comfortable table, close your eyes, and relax while listening to music. You won't even be able to feel the eyelashes being applied.

How do I know what kind of look I want?
There are a lot of different lengths and thickness for the eyelash extensions. A consultation will occur first where you will specify what type of professional lifestyle you lead, how much makeup you normally wear, what your skin tone and hair color are and what size your natural lashes are. Each look is made specifically for you and the end result is very natural looking.

What causes the Extensions to fall off?
Your natural lash cycle is the main reason for extensions to fall off, however, there are other reasons as well. Wear and tear due to rubbing, sleep, eye makeup, touching, oil based cleansers, excessive steam, mascara, and washing your face are also causes for extension shedding off.  Also, any creams, eye makeup removers, lotions or cleansers containing glycols or carbonates can loosen the bond of extensions.  Care must be taken to apply eye cream sparingly with avoidance of the lash line area.

What do Eyelash Extensions look like when applied?
Your extensions should look natural and real if applied correctly. They should be as full as the look you are going for. No one will even be able to tell that you are wearing extensions. It should only look like you have natural long lashes and are wearing good mascara.

When do I need to get a re-fill?
Because each of your lashes are in a different stage in their life cycle, you should come in for a touch up every 2-4 weeks. The more regularly you come in for your touch ups, the less extensions you should need refilled. At that time, about 50 percent of your extensions should still be attached. If you wait too long, you may need to get a full set again.

Can I wear Mascara with my Eyelash Extensions?
Yes, you can wear a water-based mascara (NO WATERPROOF). However, this will make taking your make up off more rough and will cause the bonding agent in the adhesive to loosen allowing your extensions to come off sooner. You really don't even need to wear mascara, as your extensions will give you the same bold look that mascara can. You will see when you are done with your appointment how great they truly look.

Can I use Eyelash Curlers?
No, there is no need to use an eyelash curler. The extensions are pre-curled and will stay that way for their individual lifetime. An eyelash curler will damage the extensions and may even break your natural lashes.

Can I shower, exercise, or swim while wearing the Eyelash Extensions?
Yes! The bonding agent in the adhesive is waterproof so it allows you to shower, swim and exercise as you normally would. It is recommended that you do not let the shower stream of water run directly on your extensions.

Slight Special Care is needed for Eyelash Extensions, however, the overall maintenance is relatively low.

Before Your Appointment

• Remove eye makeup and make sure that your lashes are completely clean and dry.
• Do not use an oil based makeup remover.
• Do not wear your contact lens (wear your glasses to your appointment instead or bring your contact lens case with you).
• Do not wear any mascara (it will take up time removing it which will cut into your appointment time).
• Do not perm or tint your lashes before or after the eyelash extension application.

First 24 Hours:

• Do not get lashes wet and do not touch the lashes.
• Do not tan, use steam or saunas, or go swimming.
• Do not use Mascara

Daily Upkeep:

• Do not use mascara.
• Do not pull or tug or cut the Extensions. 
• Do not rub your eyes excessively.
• Do not overexpose the Extensions to hot saunas or steams.
• Do not use eyelash curlers.
• Do not use oil based cleansers near the Eyelash Extensions.
• Use a q-tip around the lash line to clean any make up or oil from your skin.
